Children in the UAE already study Arabic, and Muslim pupils study Islamic Education at school. That is a real advantage, but school lessons are shared with a whole class and rarely leave time for correcting each child's recitation or for memorisation. One-to-one lessons fill exactly that gap: a teacher who listens to your child read every day and builds steady Hifz or Tajweed progress.
This page is for parents of children. For adults and general information, see our UAE Quran classes page.
A typical week for a child in the UAE
UAE school days often start early and finish by mid-afternoon, with a shorter day on Friday and the weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Our families usually book late afternoon or early evening in Gulf Standard Time.
| Child | Lessons | Popular local times |

| Ages 12+ | 30 minutes, 5 days a week | After Maghrib, or weekend mornings |

Fitting Quran around school in the UAE
- Different curricula, same goal: whether your child follows a British, American, Indian, Pakistani or Ministry curriculum, our lessons focus on accurate reading and memorisation, which complements school Islamic Education.
- English, Urdu or Hindi: teachers explain in whichever of the three your child understands best, which also lets parents and grandparents follow the lesson.
- Summer travel: many families travel in July and August. Online lessons can continue from anywhere with internet, or pause and restart.
- Ramadan: school hours are usually shorter, so many children take extra Quran lessons during the month.
For Indian and Pakistani families in the UAE
If your child is at a CBSE, Kerala-syllabus or Pakistani-curriculum school, or simply speaks Hindi or Urdu at home, the first Quran lessons can feel much easier when the teacher explains in that language.
- Hindi or Urdu explanation as well as English, so a young child is never lost and a parent can follow from the sofa.
- Noorani Qaida or Yassarnal Quran as the first book, whichever your family prefers. See how the two compare.
- A female Hafiza for girls who move on to memorisation. Read about online Hifz for girls with a female Hafiza.
- Male and female teachers, so you can choose who suits your son or daughter.
What parents in the UAE usually ask us for
Many children in the UAE can already read some Arabic from school, so parents usually ask for one of two things: correcting recitation habits picked up in a busy classroom, or a structured memorisation plan for Juz Amma or full Hifz. Families from South Asia often add a third: a teacher who can speak with grandparents in Urdu or Hindi. Tell us your goal on the trial form and the teacher will plan around it.
Your child's learning path
- Noorani Qaida (usually 3 to 6 months for young children): letters, joined letters, harakat and tanween. See all Noorani Qaida lessons.
- Short surahs and duas alongside the Qaida: Al-Fatiha, Al-Ikhlas, the Quls and the Juz Amma memorisation order.
- Reading the Quran (Nazra) with the first Tajweed rules.
- Optional Hifz once reading is fluent, with a daily routine that fits school.
Safety, parents and teachers
- Lessons are one-to-one on your family device; parents can watch any lesson.
- Female teachers are available for girls and young children.
- Your child keeps the same teacher, so trust builds over time.
- Ask us what checks apply to your child's teacher before you start.
