Australian Muslim families are spread across big cities and regional towns, and a good Quran teacher is not always close by. Online one-to-one lessons bring a dedicated teacher to your home at a fixed time, whether you are in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide or a regional centre.
This page is for parents of children. For adults and general information, see our Australia Quran classes page.

Fitting Quran around the four-term school year
- Four terms, regular holidays: the two-week breaks between terms are ideal for a short "Quran boost" with an extra lesson a day.
- Time zones: New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT, Tasmania and South Australia change clocks in summer; Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory do not. We keep your lesson at the same local time.
- Weekend sport: Saturday morning sport is common, so many families use Sunday for revision.
- Long summer holidays over December and January are a good time to finish a Qaida stage or a group of surahs.
What Australian parents usually ask us for
Australian families often live far from a mosque with regular children's classes, especially outside the big cities, so they want a consistent teacher they can rely on every week. Common goals are a careful Noorani Qaida start, fluent reading with Tajweed for primary-school children, and memorising Juz Amma at a pace that fits sport and school. Tell us your goal on the trial form and the teacher will plan around it.
Your child's learning path
- Noorani Qaida (usually 3 to 6 months for young children): letters, joined letters, harakat and tanween. See all Noorani Qaida lessons.
- Short surahs and duas alongside the Qaida: Al-Fatiha, Al-Ikhlas, the Quls and the Juz Amma memorisation order.
- Reading the Quran (Nazra) with the first Tajweed rules.
- Optional Hifz once reading is fluent, with a daily routine that fits school.
Safety, parents and teachers
Many Australian parents know the Working With Children Check. It is a state-based check for people working with children in Australia, and teachers living overseas cannot normally obtain it. In online home lessons, these safeguards matter most:
- Your child learns on your device in a shared family room; you control the link and can watch any lesson.
- Lessons are one-to-one with a consistent teacher.
- Female teachers are available for girls and young children.
- Ask us what checks apply to your child's teacher before you start.
