Online Quran Classes in Canada

Live one-to-one Quran lessons for families in Toronto, Mississauga, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and across Canada, in your own time zone.

One country, six time zones

Canada has six time zones, so "after school" in Halifax is a different hour from "after school" in Vancouver. Tell us your city when you book and we will arrange lessons in your local time, whether you are on Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern or Atlantic time, or in Newfoundland, which sits half an hour ahead of Atlantic time.

RegionTime zonePopular class times (local)
Ontario & QuebecEastern (ET)Early morning 6:30–8:00 am, or after school 4:00–8:00 pm
Manitoba & SaskatchewanCentral (CT)Early morning, or after school 4:00–7:30 pm
AlbertaMountain (MT)Early morning, or after school 4:00–7:00 pm
British ColumbiaPacific (PT)Early morning before school, or late afternoon
Atlantic CanadaAtlantic (AT) and Newfoundland (NT)Agreed with you when you book

Most of Canada changes its clocks in March and November. Saskatchewan does not, so its gap with Alberta and Manitoba shifts through the year. Your lesson stays at the same local time either way, and slots are confirmed when you book your free trial.

Why Canadian families learn online

  • Winter-proof. In December the sun sets before 5 pm across much of southern Canada and roads can be icy. Lessons at home carry on regardless of the weather.
  • Private attention. One teacher and one learner, so a mistake is corrected the moment it happens.
  • Instruction in English. Teachers explain in English, with Urdu or Hindi support where it helps.
  • Male and female teachers. Brothers can learn with a male teacher and sisters with a female one, and siblings can each have their own teacher and time.

Early-morning lessons: a popular option

Many Canadian families prefer a short lesson before the school bus or the commute. The child is fresh, the evening stays free for homework and activities, and starting the day with the Quran becomes a steady habit. Fajr is later in winter, so a lesson after Fajr and before school can be easier to fit in from late autumn to early spring. If you would like a morning slot, mention it on the trial form.

A plan for every learner

Children new to reading usually start with Noorani Qaida. Older children and teenagers who already read fluently tend to focus on Tajweed, and parents often take Quran with translation once the children's routine is settled.

Most provinces run the school year from September to June, with a winter break, a spring break and a long summer. Dates differ by province and school board, so tell us yours and we will plan around them.

FAQ

Questions from families in Canada

Do you teach students in every province and territory?

Lessons are online, so we can teach anywhere in Canada with a steady internet connection. We schedule classes in your local time zone.

What if I live in Saskatchewan or Newfoundland?

Tell us your city when you book. Saskatchewan does not change its clocks, and Newfoundland is half an hour ahead of Atlantic time, so we confirm the lesson in your own local time.

Can my child have a lesson before school?

Yes. Early-morning slots are popular with Canadian families. Mention your preferred time when you book and we will confirm availability.

Can brothers and sisters have lessons at different times?

Yes. Each child can have their own teacher and lesson time, so one family does not need to share a single slot.

Do lessons continue during school breaks?

Classes continue through winter break, spring break and the summer unless you ask to pause. Tell us your dates and we will plan around them.

Can I pay in Canadian dollars?

Fees are set in US dollars. You can pay from a Canadian card or account and your bank converts the amount.
