Online Quran Classes in the USA

Private live Quran lessons for children and adults anywhere in the United States, set in your own time zone, from New York to California.

Lessons in your time zone

The US spans four main time zones, so "after school" in Boston is three hours before "after school" in Los Angeles. Our teachers are available around the clock, so any time that suits your family can be booked, after school, before work or late in the evening. Send us your city and the time you want, and we will confirm it on WhatsApp.

Most of the US moves its clocks on the second Sunday of March and the first Sunday of November. Arizona (outside the Navajo Nation) and Hawaii do not. Your lesson stays at the same local time for you either way.

What a typical week looks like

Every plan is a 30-minute one-to-one lesson, five days a week. Thirty minutes is long enough to read, be corrected and repeat, and short enough for a seven-year-old to stay focused after a school day. Many families put it straight after homework or just before dinner, so it becomes part of the evening rather than one more thing to drive to.

  • One teacher, one student. Every mistake is heard and corrected while the student is still reading, not at the end of a group session.
  • Taught in English. Explanations are in clear English, with Urdu or Hindi if your family prefers.
  • Male and female teachers. Ask for a female teacher for girls and sisters. Siblings can have separate teachers and times.
  • Parents can sit in. You are always welcome to watch a lesson, and the teacher tells you what was covered and what to practise.

How the free trial works

  1. Tell us about the student. Fill in the trial form or message us on WhatsApp with the student's age, current level, your city and the times you would like.
  2. We confirm a time. We reply on WhatsApp with an open slot in your time zone and the teacher's details.
  3. Three lessons, no card. The trial is three real one-to-one lessons. The teacher checks reading level and suggests where to start.
  4. Decide afterwards. If it suits you, pick a plan. If not, there is nothing to cancel.

Where students usually start

Children who cannot yet read Arabic start with Noorani Qaida. Those who read but stumble move on to Tajweed, and students who want to memorise join Hifz. Adults often take Quran with translation or Arabic. US school calendars vary by district, so tell us your winter and spring break dates if you want to pause or keep going.

For younger children, see our Quran classes for kids and the free Noorani Qaida lessons you can try at home first.
